  1. Conventional doctors look at organs as separate entities. Naturopathic doctors look at the body like an orchestra— they look at the body as a whole.

  2. Naturopathic doctors want you to be active in your treatment program. You have to be involved and understand your unique body and be responsible for it.

  3. Medical doctors are always in recovery mode. They want to move past a problem as quickly as possible. Whereas naturopathic doctors try to get to the root of the problem— they ask “why is this happening?” and “what is it in your environment, your lifestyle or your thoughts that’s causing this problem?”

  4. Naturopathic doctors don’t look at the body in terms of absence of disease. Fine isn’t good enough. They want you at your optimum level of health.

  5. Understand the job description of who you’re seeing— cutters cut. That is what they know how to do.

  6. There’s levels of dysfunction in the body that can only be found between the lines. You can have a test that doesn’t show you have any thing actively wrong in your body, but you can have just enough to experience the symptoms.

  7. Burnout is a result of our cortisol and DHEA levels going out of wack, which causes our adrenal glands to crash.
